paper is a data protection risk and may lead to disciplinary proceedings. seriously, we're not allowed to take our diaries to our desk to write down our shifts. its a frickin nightmare. You have to get a manager to print them out for you from their computer and then personally hand them to you.
Its funny cos they have all these rules and while the ones about say the computer are fairly strictly regulated other ones are a bit... whimsical in regards to whether people stick to them. Like we're not supposed to be allowed to wear open toed shoes because they're a health and safety risk but then my bosses boss was wandering around in sandles all day yesterday and noone said a word but one of my colleages on the same level as me got into trouble for wearing a strapply vest top because the same dress code that bans sandles bans them. Its... weird. And frustrating.
I just dress in smart casual/business dress and keep my head down and get on with it. I can't be arsed getting in a tizzy about it. Some of the kids (and man are they kids) on my team find every little thing a huge huge drama and I'm like "seriously, chill, so they want you to dress like you're at work. Guess what: you are!!"
