TVRealm: Reasons to Watch OTH

Reach 50 Points:
1 point per image.
1 point per every 50 words.
1/2 a point for fic recs, fanvid links, tumblr images, etc.
1. BROOKE DAVIS (116 words + 8 images)

Brooke Davis is possibly one of the most spectacular characters on television. She cares about her friends deeply, she's bitchy and shallow, but she still strives for so much more. She is the most real character I've seen in a long time. Brooke is flawed, she's a character built upon imperfections just like every real person.
More than just being an interesting, gorgeous, realistic character, Brooke Davis has evolved. Her growth from the shallow high school cheerleader to one of the most caring and genuine women on the show is amazing to watch and really makes you invested in her well being. After eight seasons, Brooke feels like a close friend instead of a TV character.
2. PEYTON SAWYER (116 words + 8 images)

Peyton is really the main female character for the earlier seasons. But despite this, she isn't always a good person. Some of her actions can seem at times unforgivable and its one reason why she seems so much more like a representation of a real woman than just a TV character created for entertainment.
The difficulties Peyton goes through are very real and having her exist through losing her mother, finding out she was adopted, and so much more just helps to make her a more interesting, influential, and important character to know.
Mark Schwahn loves to put Peyton and Brooke through hardships and horrors but the characters themselves are fighters and that alone is inspiring.
3. THE SCOTTS (HALEY, NATHAN, JAMIE) (76 words + 8 images)

This family is one of the most perfect things in the entire show. Like any relationship, especially in a teen television drama, there are hardships. Issues designed to throw a wrench into their happiness, but despite all of this, they consistently overcome everything put in their path. The love between these two characters and their children is one of the most heart warming and inspiring things on television.
They will never fail to cheer you up.
4. THE MUSIC (166 words + 24 recs)

I don't think I need to talk about how influential and inspiring music can be. We all know. We all have music that has great meaning to us. I've always paid attention to music used in television shows. Over the years I've discovered many new bands, albums, and songs through the shows I watch and I'm extremely glad for it.
When it comes to One Tree Hill, the great music transcends its inclusion in a scene and becomes really important to the show itself. Almost every episode is named after a song, and many bands and artists have performed on the show.
The power of music within One Tree Hill plays a huge role in the characters throughout the seasons, but especially Haley James Scott and Peyton Sawyer. Whether it's Haley's own music career or Peyton's concert organizing or the breast cancer benefit album that she puts together with Ellie, music is so firmly embedded in this show and I wouldn't want it any other way.
5. ITS MORE THAN JUST A TEEN SHOW (112 words + 12 images)

I remember the time before I actually watched One Tree Hill, I assumed it was like every other lame teenage drama. Half young attractive people with their teenage lives, half terrible soap opera. So when I actually started watching the show, I was surprised.
Yes, there are silly high school episodes, but this show deals with serious issues and does it spectacularly well. I don't want to spoil details the way I sometimes got spoiled, but know that this show knows what its doing and it can do it seriously well.
Having children in high school, shootings, stalkers, death and depression, natural disasters. This show can portray them naturally, believably, and respectfully.

I loved that you used the cap you used for the top of Brooke's spam. The absolute perfect cap to use.
